Looks OK, with one caveat By Rich H. This review is a bit speculative, because afaik there’s only one way to know whether it actually works, and I’d rather not take a lightning strike to find out…
The product came well recommended, and looks to offer excellent value for the price. It fit perfectly in place of the F-F grounding coupling in the entry box; installation took all of five minutes. Service was unaffected after installation; saw no significant signal loss per my DVR’s diagnostic screen. Internet access and speed were unaffected.
The reason I’m not awarding five stars is a rather nasty surprise I received when reading the instruction booklet: it specifies use only with RG59 cable. It was in fact adamant on this point, specifying adapters (not included) on each side for use with RG6. The product description claims “It is specifically designed for todays Broadband signals carried over the coax cables.” I know of no modern cable application that still uses RG59, including my own. I did not use adapters; have no idea what the implications are, but hoping it isn’t a safety issue. Either way, this does not inspire 100% confidence in the product. At the very least, this limitation should be made clear in the product description.
So, five stars for the unit itself, minus one for the incomplete product description.

Appears very high quality. UL Listed. More expensive than others like it, though. By Chad Anderson I ordered two of these after I ditched my cable TV for a rooftop antenna but kept my cable internet. They look very well-made and are heavier than they look (not hollow). Installation wasn’t hard–you just screw on the coaxial ends and make sure it’s grounded well. I grounded them by wire using the hole and screw that is in each product. I can’t say how well it works because lightning hasn’t struck my house yet, but I bought it because it’s the only UL listed surge protector that’s this type (not the kind you plug in the wall). Antenna signal strength is diminished, but it’s only noticeable when you actually scan for signal strength because all of the channels that I get are digital. I have 20 Mbps cable internet and it still runs at full-speed.

Looks good By Bodycount I can’t say if this is working or not because I don’t know if I had any surges in my cable system yet. But it’s very well built. Make sure you use a ground wire or else I don’t think this will even work. No ground means no surge protection.
